nt authority shut down

I have downloaded the patch for this, but i still get the shutdown box. How do I stop this from happening? Is there another patch that I should download? :dead:

Looks like the work of the Blaster virus... look up the Microsoft database article on removing the Blaster virus...there should be a patch and a removal utility.

I recently had the same issue with a box here at work. Thought it was blaster but turned out to be some spyware "vbouncer" or some such thing. Ran the most recent Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D and all was fine. Running the latest McAfee Stinger found nothing.

Step by step:

1) Download spybot S&D and install it to a disk
2) Boot into safe mode on the resetting computer and run the software (in safemode it shouldn't restart)
3) Delete all the crap S&D tracks down.
4) Restart and hope it works

If that doesn't work, boot normally, install the software and run it normally. Follow 3 and 4.
