Hi to everyone.
I have a problem I hope somebody can help me.
A short time ago I reinstalled Windows Home Edition SP1. Once I had installed all of the updates including SP2. I restared the computer again and got the error message "NTDLR files missing press Ctrl Alt Delete to restart".
So I copied the files NTDLR and NTDETECT and Boot ini on to a floppy on another computer from my windows disk and can now boot Windows up.
So far fine. However when I load the computer up it loads from floppy ignores the XP disk in the CD rom or DVD rom (If i change the boot up order in the Bios set up to CDrom I get the error message NTDLR files missing press Ctrl Alt Delete to restart".) so I am unable to repair or reinstall windows.
Also (I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to computers) is their a way that I can transfer the NTDLR and NTDETECT files on to my computer so I don't have to use the floppy every time to start windows?
Thanks for taking time to look at this,
Tom
