    just wondered if anyone knew how to uncompress NTLDR using command prompt

    i have tried entering attrib -c ntldr in command prompt, but when i do this i get the message saying -c is an invalid switch!!!!!!

    any suggestions welcome

    this file must be in the root of the bootable HD, eg: C:\

    that location should never be compressed;
    right click the hd->properties and be sure that both boxes at the bottom are
    NOT checked.
