Nvidia 260 noise levels

Hi,

I've been contemplating purchasing either an Nvidia 260 or an ATI 4870 as an upgrade from an nvidia 9600gt. I'd be using this card in a music production computer (also for high-end gaming) so noise levels are some what of a concern.

The 260's heatsink cannot be replaced as far as I'm aware, but the 4870 will allow me to fit a new heatsink with a 120mm fan of my choice (noctua).

Does anybody have any knowledge or readings of the noise levels of the 260's fan?
I understand that it will increase in speed/noise as the gpu heats up.


Any help will be appreciated.

I found two reviews of the GTX 260 that measure noise levels here and here. The first article only mentions the 260s noise levels, but the second article has comparisons with other graphics cards including the 4870.
