  1. My machine keeps locking up: when I reboot, the message is "this problem caused by Nvidia graphics driver, bla bla.
Well, I went to the site, they said uninstall current, reinstall etc. Done.
    No luck.
What is it for, do I need it and how do I fix it?!?

the last stable nvidia drivers are 81.98

download them from the nvidia archives.

do not use 91.xx or 93.xx. these are not stable and are known to be incompatible with some programs.

Thanks Tedster. Someone told me to simply uninstall Nvidia; it would not allow me to reinstall any new version.
Now I am receiving error report that says "unknown device driver" error :< errrr. I have no clue!!!
