Oblivion on Vista

Yo. I just installed Oblivion on my new Vista home premium and now its not working. It shows the Bethesda logo and crashes .It did before on XP. My friend who also have vista runs Oblivion perfect. I also have knights of the nine and shivering isle.

anyone know what the problem could be? i tried doing the compatible with XP thing and still nothing

i dont know what they are exactly...

heres what i know

Intel pentium 4 CPU 3,40Hz
1022 MB
8800 GTS graphic card

That should be good enuf as specs, could be the disc didnt install the game correctly or Vista is a pile of crap

you should be ablel to run the game. You might want to try a reinstall, make sure nothing is running while you're doing it

i already tried reinstalling and it still not working... But if Vista is crap how come it be working on my friends comp?

reinstall vga driver and directx, chek also for other updates

look to see if there's an updated patch on the game's website.. ask your friend if they did anything special to how they installed it..
