Odd problem with WiFi

I'm having a strange, random problem with the WiFi on my desktop. Randomly (and I mean completely randomly, can happen 2 or 3 times a day, not at all for 2 weeks), my WiFi will disconnect, showing the yellow warning sign over the icon in the system tray, and will have no internet connectivity or network access. Disabling/Enabling the WiFi device does not work, unplugging my WiFI stick will not change the status in the network devices (still looks as if it's plugged in), and the only thing that will fix is a restart. However, when I try to restart the PC normally, it will hang indefinitely until a hard reboot is performed.

I've tried different driver versions, I've tried different WiFi devices (both USB and PCI-e), nothing works.

Wondering if anyone could help me. It's not an end-of-the-world problem, but it's a super inconvenient and annoying one. Thanks!
