Open Mouse by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware, and then clicking Mouse.
Click the Pointer Options tab, and then do any of the following: To change the speed at which the mouse pointer moves, move the Select a pointer speed slider towards Slow or Fast.

Thank you, I will hope that fixes it. If not, I'll check back.

Crap, even using it on white paper doesn't fix it. :( Until I get a fix, I'm using a wired (USB) mouse.

Do wireless mouses require a specific type of battery? I took 2 energizers out of it & put in two equivalent batteries.

I have used all different brands of batteries in my wireless mouse before. No problems what so ever. I would suggest getting some lithium ones though, they lasted the longest for mine.
