onboard 1394 What is it?

    The new motherboard I just bought ( see previous thread) Doesn't come with a onboard 1394. How will this affect the computer as far as cable internet conection. and being able to tie into the other system I have for the kids to play there games together.

    It won't affect anything if you don't know what it is. 1394 is also commonly known as Firewire, so if you didn't have a firewire card or ports on the front of your computer for it, you never used it. So it won't affect you in any way.
