onboard 1394 What is it?

  1. The new motherboard I just bought ( see previous thread) Doesn't come with a onboard 1394. How will this affect the computer as far as cable internet conection. and being able to tie into the other system I have for the kids to play there games together.
    The new Mobo is a Asus A8V-E SE

    It won't affect anything if you don't know what it is. 1394 is also commonly known as Firewire, so if you didn't have a firewire card or ports on the front of your computer for it, you never used it. So it won't affect you in any way.
