Onboard audio drivers/control panel

I have onboard realtek AC'97 audio. With this comes soundman control application for effects etc.


can i change this for some other application eg. soundmax.

I have used soundmax on other mobo/audio combinations before and like it. I don't like soundman.

i google for "soundmax on ac'97" and it shows some drivers including soundmax but i'm not sure if that's ok as they seem to be a few years old.

Go ahead and install the older SoundMax drivers. Your system will tell you if it will accept them or not

i tried them. it didn't like it so looks like i'm stuck with soundman

it's Realtek alc850 7.1 channel onboard ac'97 .
