Onboard Video Buffer - 1 or 8? Dimension 3000

  1. Have Dell Dimension 3000 with Intel Integrated graphics. BIOS settings allow choice of 1 or 8 MB in video buffer? Currently set as 1 - what, if any, does changing to 8 do?

    you can set it to 8 to improve video performance. this will 'take' 8mb away from your system's total memory, but that will have virtually no effect as it is a neglible difference.

    Hey Zephead!

    So how would you disable the onboard video card? BIOS or by physically taking out the jumper on the motherboard?

    I too have a Dimension 3000.
