Only sound is heard when movies are playing

okay so i have a slight problem that involves watching movies on my computer. everything is working fine, and my 3d visuals still work and i can watch things on you tube or streaming from online however wehnever i try to watch a movie or music video on any player on my computer.... i just get a black screen... the sound still works but there is no actual picture...

what are some possible ways to fix this??

Sounds like u need codecs. Download K-Lite Mega Codec Pack from here and install. During installation, it will come to a screen where u will have all these check marks and stuff. Just check everything in the list except Morgan Mixer and then let it install normally. Try running the files now. They should all work.

noppers didnt work.. the sound and everything is fine just a black screen no matter which media player. installed the codec pack and everything..

try researching for setting about playing video in your graphics card settings.
