You're exactly the sucker that honorable board of directors wants... You're going to buy whatever outdated sh!t they offer with a 3/4 apple on it... Keep them happy, fan boy!!!

LOL a new member in techspot and a new member to the hate bandwagon. Keep it up fanboysucker :>> /sarcasm

Given the Samsung's situation I think this year was not tough for apple. But indeed nothing new is introduced in new iphone. I'm gonna refund.

It's an Apple product, nothing special about it at all. If you don't mind being blatantly robbed, well, go for it then. I'd rather waste my money on something else.

Thanks for the advice, I now have half a dozen pissed off hipsters pinning me down. If they find my Samsung phone it’s all over, Tim can probably take care of future GPU reviews though.
Burn City. You wanted to play devil's advocate...

I'm a bit torn about this one.

Compared to the 6S, the 7 feels more like an S upgrade. So, it's an iPhone 6SS basically. However, compared to my 6 Plus, it's about twice as fast and if the Geekbench leak is correct, 3 times the RAM which is a big deal to me. Add in the other features and it becomes quite an upgrade. On the other hand, my 6 Plus is working just fine. It's only the memory that I consider a big issue. 1GB is just not enough these days for any serious browsing or jumping between apps without stuff constantly reloading. So I decided to preorder the jet black 7 plus w/128GB with an estimated delivery sometime in November. That'll give me enough time to think about it, see the reviews and have people discover any serious bugs or design issues.

Apple II was the last apple computer I used properly, I have a mac book pro for presenting projects which is more like a fashion accessory than a workstation, and I got the second generation iPhone back in the day. They are not for me and they will never be. Their whole ideology about technology is the exact opposite of what I need for my work. I need professional they offer prosumer...

Don't care what Apple does...not my kind of phone
Don't care what Samsung does...not my kind of phone

I'm not the kind of person that rushes right out willing to fork over
a house payment, for A PHONE. These things are over powered, and
overpriced. But hey, if YOU want to spend that amount of money on
A PHONE, feel free. To me, a lot of these slick looking "flagship" devices
are nothing more than a fashion accessory. They must be. Look around
and watch. Especially on school settings. Everyone has them clutched in
their hands like it is a fashion statement. Oh the humanity if they put it
in their pocket or purse. They might miss a tweet or FB post about something
they "liked".
I prefer VALUE for my money, which is why my last phone was only 300 bucks
almost 3 years ago. When Huawei came out with the Mate8 in November of last
year, I held off. They wanted over 800 bucks. Now that the new Mate9 has been
rumored, the 8 dropped like a stone. Picked it up for just over 400 bucks. You are
almost always better off buying the last version of the last flagship, then the newest
version of the new flagship. Be it a phone, car etc...the depreciation is built in on the
last of the old new one.

Overall I like it. I don't like the no headphone jack, but the fact that it is pushing the headphone industry to develop wireless or other advancements is a good thing and we probably won't see the benefits till later. I just hope it won't be like thunderbolt, where we never see any new products. I think the second telephoto lens is gimicky, but useful to have. It's like a little bonus.. not a reason to jump to the plus model (for me the bigger screen and battery is and the OIS in the camera for the 6 Plus which is why I got it, now it has less of a value jump from regular 6 to the Plus since the regular one has OIS).

LOL. Try harder next time. They can play mp3 files ever since the birth of ipod. Ignorance is a crime. Imagining things huh.

Not true. I have had an ipod. It could NOT play mp3's. But... I had to connect the ipod to itunes and load the mp3's into itunes, which transcoded it to a kinda m4a format, then uploaded it to the ipod. If I tried to copy a mp3 directly to the ipod, the file would not play.

Sooo... who's the ignorant now, huh?

Um... they play MP3 files now... have for awhile...

are you sure? Can you copy a mp3 directly to the Iphone 6 and 7 without using Itunes? If not - it probably still transcodes to m4a type file before uploading to phone. One of my work colleagues has a 5S, and we tried via dropbox to play a mp3 file on his phone - didn't work. But uploading it through itunes transcoded it and uploaded it, and it played just fine.

I just don't see the reason for transcoding one lossy format to another.

Yes I can... If you have Musicbox on your phone (or one of many other apps) it can play them... It can also play them from email attachments... And in your iTunes settings, you can set it to make your default MP3 instead of AAC or whatever....

Apple products are generally overpriced inferior hardware.

I don't need the latest and greatest.

But one thing I absolutely loathe is the fact that an iporn or an iplod can not play a measly mp3 file.. nooo you will have to use itunes to convert it to crapples own format in order to play it.

Why degrade quality by another conversion?!? That's

Others did it from the start. Nice that you finally get what we've had for like... 10 years?. Listened to mp3's from my phone way before all this smart crap started.

Or get android and just copy the mp3 and play it without adjusting settings or getting more apps.

Meh... I'm still rock'n a flip phone. Maybe they should work on one of those, plenty of room for a headphone jack.

See if you can make a run for the nearest starbucks, that should get them off your back

Can you run a iphone without itunez yet ? That was always my number 1 reason to steer clear..

I wish you could run android natively on the iphone as single threaded performance cannot be beat..

Really wish some chip manufacturer would make an epic dual core cpu..android has always played second fiddle in cpu performance meh :D

I am 101% sure. The itunes make things easier and organized. Make a playlist, Drag and drop your mp3 and sync and finished. If you turned on transcoding to aac (which is turned off by default so dunno why did you turned it on), sure it will transcode.

I have a feeling that mp3 file is not really a Mp3 file but another audio format just having the extension .mp3 so it was transcoded.

You are comfortable with android OS so go with it. I have my own android phones before and love the OS. But to be a member of the apple hate bandwagon and spreading false claims without even owning it is just a fanboi sulking at its best. So whos next?

ROFL. Try harder. You dont own an ipod to make that claim. I love arguing with innocent one.
