Optical Mouse Lock Up?

    Lately I've been having troubles with my Logitech Optical Mouse. It's been locking up on me, I've tried everything and I can't get it to unlock and the batteries aren't dead. Can anyone help? :confused:

    Try unplugging it, and plugging it back in. Does the optical light actually turn off?

    if it is the MX700, use the provided PS/2-USB adapter and plug it into the PS/2 mouseport. (switch the PC off before you change this).
    I have the same mouse, and find that it operates best using PS/2.

    If you are using PS/2 already, plugging it into a USB-2 port temporarily usually helps to get it un-blocked.

    Oh, hahaha! I should have said it's Cordless, sorry it was late and I was tired so I was in a hurry. Sorry about that, anyway yeah it just locks up! But the light is still on.
