combine this with IBM's optical avalanche technology and the battery needn't be bigger than a candy bar. on it's own this concept isnt as impressive as what it could mean when expanded to other components.
this will help decrease power usage, increasing battery life, component life and all that good stuff. i'd like to see laptops standardized across the board so we can have a more modular user experience.. but that takes patience, money and risk.
expand the optimus concept to every component on a laptop and you'll have plenty more battery life and field servicing capability. imagine the benefit this will have in combat operations, let alone lawyers lunching on youtube.
