Outdated Drivers

Wondering if and how folks have coped with the situation of having good equipment, but not having continued driver support? In my case, I have several HP items (LaserJet and Scanner) and several webcams from various manufacturers which no longer have drivers for current OS. The equipment is fully functional and operates flawlessly - but are more than 5 years old.

How have you dealt with this? How?

I binned a printer, a graphics card, a sound card and a scanner when I upgraded from W98 to XP but haven't had any issues since then. Stuff that worked in W7 still works OK with W10. Worry about drivers if the hardware doesn't work, otherwise leave well alone. Maybe you have issues with free software that was bundled with the equipment in which case you could try uninstalling it and installing in compatibility mode for your previous OS.
