Outlook and McAfee add-in

Every time I boot up Outlook this window appears could you give me any hints.

"The add-in "C:\Program Files\McAfee\Managed VirusScan\VScan\ScanOTLK.200..." could not be installed or loaded. The problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu."

Here's an update.
I looked around the add-ins window and I found an extra exchange scan add-in I unchecked the box and the error message disappeared. The problem maybe fixed, but I was wondering what the problem really was?
I'm just curious.

Give this a try:

Problem:
When opening Outlook 2003 this error message is received,
The add-in “C:\Program Files\McAfee\Managed VirusScan\VScan\ScanOTLK.200…” could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help Menu.

Solution:
Rename “C:\Documents and Settings\ppmr\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat => extend.dat.old
(it is possible the the 'ppmr' might be the users name. Just substitute yours for it.

To view hidden folder & files: Tools > Folder Options > View Tab > Select the “Show hidden files and folders” radio button.

Access the file using Windows explorer.
