Overclocking Directions

  1. Can you overclock a Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz Processor. The computer is basically at stock parts, except with 512 Memory and 4 Extra fans to keep is nice and cool. So i am just asking a simple question can i overclock my processor and if i can tell me how. Thank you.

    Your cpu likely can overclock, at least some. The question is whether your motherboard supports overclocking. To overclock you would raise the fsb speed. The fsb x the cpu multi would determine the cpu speed. A 18x multi and a 200mhz fsb would be 3600mhz (3.6ghz).

    that all depenss on what kind of machine you have. you should know that novice overclockers can easily end up ruining one or more parts of thier rigs, and if you have any warranty it is automatically voided.
