  1. Hi, I'm really interested in overclocking my Pentium 4 1.8Ghz system.

My friend gave me a breif description, something like taking off the heatsink, matching some stuff/wires, applying SOMETHING SILVER or something and then going into BIOS and editing it.

Um, does anyone have any adivce for me? Is there any online tutorials on this?

    Thanks a ton!

I strongly suggest you learn what to do first before considering doing it. As well as learning the fundamentels of computer hardware, and more specifically, your platform. Overclocking should not be taken so lightly.

Try a search EX, there are several threads on overclocking, what you need to learn out of the basics I'm sure are covered. If you still have questions then post back.

Actually, I know alot about computer hardware. It was last summer that I purchased all the parts for my 1.8Ghz comp that I made from scratch. I understand all the hardware and what not. Overclocking is something relatively new to me right now, my friends told me about it. Yet, I still need tuts or something.
