P2P alliance to fight head to head with RIAA

    Sharman Networks, distributor of the popular P2P program Kazaa, is set to form an alliance called the Distributed Computing Industry Association (DCIA) which they hope will help legitimize the much-maligned peer-to-peer industry.

    The association hopes to attract peer-to-peer network providers, software makers and Internet service providers as members... hopefully to avoid certain abuses we have come to hear from RIAA lately, you can read more details at news.com.

    In a related note, CNN reports that music sharing has continued at a normal pace during the last few days even after RIAA's announcement of planning to suit individuals.
