p4 2.66 vs. celeron d 3.2

    I am currently using a p4 2.66 i purchased a socket 775 mobo and a celeron d at 3.2 ghz the celeron d seem to be just a basic p4 the bus speed is the same as my p4 so is the level cache . Did this move benifit me to move up cpu size by o.54 my Kids use an amd xp 2000+ at 1.67 this cpu out runs my p4 So i am guessing that the amd will also out perform my celeron d . A new amd is the way i should have gone :blackeye:
