P4s800d-e Deluxe Cpu Upgrade

I was wondering if anyone could help me as i am getting conflicting answers off the web and my manual.

I have an Asus P4S800D-E Deluxe motherboard with a P4 2.66 gig at the moment. I want to upgrade my cpu, so what can i upgrade up too? And at the same time would it be worth it? ( I have 1 gig ram and a Radeon 9800 128 pro.)

I would think that would be about as good as you could get for that board.
I couldn't find any support sheets, but the board supports prescott core cpus w/ ht and 800fsb, so that should include this cpu.

It'd be a decent jump in performance, but it's overpriced IMO. The 3.0e and 3.2e are better values.
