Page_fault_in_non_paged_area Error?

Hi, I bought a second hand laptop off a friend it's a Tiny A440 and was running Windows 98 but I updated it to Windows Xp, It keeps blue screening and I lose all my work sometimes it doesnt even start up properly? I'm running 128mb and I have a 1.8ghz processor. I tried scanning the registry it had lots of errors which I fixed but it hasn't changed anything? Please help this is really frustrating and makes my laptop practically unusable. Thanks very much, Ed

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Windows XP is far more memory hungry than 98.

You need at least 256mb of ram in order to run XP, with 512mb being preferable.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I don't know anything about computers. I'm still upgrading my memory to 256mb but I don't think it's a memory fault it crashes when its hardly doing anything? Someone said something in another post about a page being too short how would I change that?
