I have the above Camcorder (circa 2002) and looking for a driver for Windows 7 - want to copy from tape to computer using the supplied AV/USB cable.

Have you tried product support page? Not sure the exact model, when I searched for Palmcorder, one of the top results was PV GS12, from early 2000.
Anyway, according to FAQ of this particular model:
- Are there drivers available for Windows 7 or 8?
No, there are no drivers for Windows 7 or Windows 8.
- Am I able to transfer videos to the computer using the USB cable?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer videos to your computer using a USB cable. A video clip can be transferred directly to your PC (Personal Computer) via a DV Interface Cable (I.LINK) using products and software from a number of video editing software companies such as Windows Movie Maker. In order to transfer videos, your PC is required to have a DV terminal.
I'd imagine you'll get similar answers for yours.
