Pavillion ze4125 pcmcia problem

Device manager sees the pcmcia port and says its ok. when i slide a wireless card in, (or any card) it doesnt see the card, yet it says the port is ok?

any ideas?

Try uninstalling the port in device manager then reinstall it. If that doesn't work then the pcmcia contriller could be bad, I had one go on my old dell Latitide.

I tryed doing that, it still didnt see the card,,, whats the likley hood of the port being bad? Ive never seen that before....although i understand its only 2 screws to replace the port......

It's highly likely....If nothing else works then that would be my guess.
