Pc jacked up

Well now my pc is all kinds of messed up now when I try to shut down it sits there for hours until I hard shut down. I went to the boot menu and chose system repair so I can restore it to before it was jacked and all I get is a blank background. I havent installed anything new besides curse voice I have no idea whats wrong but now it wont even let me run malware bytes or ad-aware antivirus, I tried to install a new one and it never opened the program

windows 7 and its a 4 almost 5 year old alienware laptop
