  1. Hi to all.
I run on Windows XP. I surfed the internet for a bit on Sunday eve, next moment got two error messages reading c:\system32\mustafx.exe and c:system\32mustafx2.exe The NTVDM CPU has encountered an e legal instruction. The Pc gives me about thirty seconds and then just shuts off. Ever since every time I try and log in, it say's the same. Can someone please advice me on what's going on.

    CarlsChill.

This is not a windows file; it is 3rd party but does not flag up as a nasty (no guarantee as it might be a new one).
Suggest you reboot from the XP install CD and use the recovery tool to access the system32 folder and delete these two files.
If you cannot do this, the quickest way to get up and running again is a reinstallation of the OS - hope you have backups.

I would think its an infection. I strongly suggest you run through the removal instructions and post the necessary logs.
