Pc overheating problem

hi my pc has just turned itself off after overheating, i left it to cool down for about 2 hours then turned it back on and it wont start up it sometimes it plays 5 beeps, and other times it plays repeating short beeps and sometimes 1 short, 1 long beep. what is wrong

Do a search here or at the web of the manufacturer of your Bios, Award ,etc. for the beep code error messages meaning.
Before you turn your machine on again ,you might want to try and figure out why it overheated in the first place.It only takes seconds to fry a CPU.
Are all fans running?Clean/reapply thermal Paste to CPU/heatsink.
