I just purchased a new motherboard a ASUS p5K
The problem that i am having is that evry time i listen to music randmly there are glitches like pauses and the sound sometimes gets robotic or goes slow motion.
Also when i turn my computer on the first program i open dont matter which one it is the computer goes really slow for about 10 minutes, the mouse runs like slow motion.

Here are my Specs.
Motherboard ASUS pk5
Socket Designation LGA775
Manufacturer Intel
Version Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.20GHz
Supported Voltage 1.3 v
External Clock 200 MHz
Max Speed 3800 MHz

Memory Type DDR2 (Buffalo Select) PC2 5300 u-55
Installed Size 1024 MBytes x2 total (2GB Ram)
Current Speed 667 MHz
Sound card EMU 0404
Video card NVIDIA GeForce 7300SE/7200GS

does any one have an idea what might be causing this. =(

definitely sounds like a driver or BIOS issue. You may have some devices conflicting.

i updated the drivers, and evrything even have the latest bios version.
I have a sound card which is for professional recording and it does the same thing with that one even when i take that one of and leave it with the Realtek audio that the mother board comes with it still has the same problem.
