Hey all.
I have a problem with my PC and its driving me potty.
First, my spec.

A64 X2 4800+
GeForce 7900GS 480M Extreme
2Gb RAM
X-Fi XtremeMusic
200Gb SATA HDD
Windows XP w/SP2 and ALL updates

I get random reboots with no BSod in sight. Sometimes at Windows startup, sometimes while Im doing mundane tasks such as closing Firefox tabs or shutting down apps.
While looking at Event Viewer I have noticed that a pattern is occuring.
Here is the most concurrent error I find under Event Viewer - System.

Service Control Manager - Event Code - 7023 (The Shell Hardware Service terminated with the following error - The system cannot find the file specfied - Netevent.dll) - This file is on my HDD.

I also get warnings concerning Dhcp and Tcpip.
I dont know whats going on but its really bugging me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I dont think that is the case as this evening I had a BSoD with the message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and then things got worse. After the initial BSoD everytime I try to run windows I get a BSoD and it cant recover. I have also lost my mouse and keyboard in the process. I have tried different mice and keyboards but to no avail. This means I cant even get into the BIOS or boot into safe mode. I think my new hypermoney PC has bit the dust.
Annoyed doesnt even describe it. :(

If its under warranty then you can get it sorted!!!!!

If not, a windows reinstall my be your only option!!!!
