PC suddenly shuts down

Hi, i'm having this problem where my computer suddenly turns off. The cases are when i open the computer from standby mode, it overheats and when i'm playing Far Cry. I have no clue why it does the turn off when i open from standby mode,
and when i play Far Cry. It doesn't happen at all with SimCity 4 O_o.

Specs:
Intel Pentium M 2.00 Ghz
1.00 G Ram
GeForce Go 6600 128 Mb

Well the only time it shuts down due to overheat is if the cooling hole is blocked. Not otherwise.

First of all.

SIM4 is not graphic intensive. Far Cry is.

Means you need to take another look at the video card, possible it is very dirty?

and try to leave the case open at the most time, and use the desk or floor fan if you have it, have it blow in your computer.
