my computer wont boot into windows xp without the help of a bootdisk. I have "boot from cd" set as first priority and "boot from harddrive" as second in my BIOs. If i dont boot from a cd, Then nothing happens at all it doesnt even try to boot into windows. it just hangs there, there's no error message or anything. if someone could help i would really appreciate it.

have you tried switching the boot order in bios? that is probably the most simplest option with what you're describing right now.

-when you boot up your pc there is a button to press to enter setup, usualy DEL, F2 or something..
-find a tab named "boot setup" or similar, and alter as neccesary
-go back out and exit the BIOS, remember to save the changes.

If we need to dig deeper then we shall...
