  1. What are these ports used for? What card could go into a PCI-e 1X?

    c'mon....

Any ***** could have done that... I was looking for a more thorough response, an expert opinion, not a google.

Just for that response I'm not putting on the chef...

    Are you looking for this?

Sorry if I offended you, but that, and the Google, pretty much explain all there is to explain.

There doesn't currently seem to be much on the market for PCIe x1.

Let`s not start name calling, it isn`t tolerated here.

See HERE for a selection of cards that can be used in a PCI-e 1X slot.

    Regards Howard :)

PCI-E x1 cards are used mainly for add-on cards that provide USB, Serial, Parallel or Firewire ports. There are very few video cards out there for it. Also, the Ageia PhysX card might be released for that slot too.
