I keep getting PFN_List_Corrupt BSOD with 0x0000004E.

I've run memtest86+ for 2 days straight, no errors. I started getting this after playing a bit of far cry. This BSOD only happens when my computer gets to the log in screen.

I can just restart my computer, and there'll be no more problems, but it's just annoying.

I have updated all my drivers, ran a disk check without problems. Also set PF to 0, defragged, and then set it back to what it was before. The problem still persists.

I never got this on this computer before, and I've had it for around a year. It just started happening recently.

Both minidumps crash with memory corruption, and a bugcheck of 4E.

0x0000004E: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

This indicates that the memory management Page File Number list is corrupted. Can be caused by corrupt physical RAM, or by drivers passing bad memory descriptor lists.

I believe you may have a ram problem.

Go HERE and follow the instructions.

Regards Howard :)
