Pirates flock to download leaked Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray

You do realize the first one was released on '77, it was original as ... back in that time.
No.
There is a star wars documentary on where George Lucas got his inspiration, he took cues from many other established entities and twisted them together.
Star Wars is about as original as the next remake of Spider-Man.
Not knocking it though, I am a big Star Wars fan myself.
But if we take that standard as to what is original, then nothing is original.

They say piracy costs the industry billions ...

1) I went to the cinema at launch and watched the movie
2) I have pre-ordered the bluray of the film to be released next month
3) I have watched the film last week in the comfort of my own home

I call bs!

1) I have a friend who didn't watch it at the cinema.

2) He also didn't pre-order the blu-ray and doesn't intend to rent or buy it.

3) He watched the movie last night for free in the comfort of his own home.

Agreed...definately some BS here.

And 1 and 2 would have likely not changed, if 3 wasn't an option. So your sarcasm is moot.

Quite the opposite....his reasoning for not seeing it at the cinema was that it would be "free in a few months".

If a pirated copy was never available...I dont believe he would have refused to pay for legal access to the movie.
