Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL phones have been getting some great reviews, but it appears that this is causing unforeseen issues for the company. Google underestimated demand for the new handsets, meaning some people who preordered one the devices won’t be getting them until mid-November.

9to5 Google reports that many buyers have found their orders are still listed as ‘Preordered’ or ‘Pending’ in the Google store, despite receiving shipping dates for early this week. When contacting Google’s Project Fi – its wireless broadband service – the publication was told that the “shipping department is running 3 weeks behind,” and that the new ship date is November 18.

Anyone trying to buy one of the handsets now will find that the only available versions are the Pixel in black and silver, and the 32GB Pixel XL in Silver. Both have a listed shipping time of 3-4 weeks, according to Android Police.

While delays doesn’t look good for Google, the company is obviously happy that its phones are proving so popular, especially as their high price was thought to be an issue for some people.

“We’re thrilled to see the excitement for our new Pixel phones, and frankly pre-order demand exceeded our expectations. We’re looking to restock our inventory as soon as possible,” the search giant said.

We gave the Pixel XL a score of 90 in our review, calling the handset “outstanding.” A recent iFixit teardown of the Pixel XL revealed the smartphone's modular design made it quite easy to remove and replace components, helping it achieve a better-than-average repairability score of 6 out of 10.

Numbers or it didn't happen ... as they say.
And I don't mean the number of days ...

I am moving from a Note 7 to a Pixel XL. My ship date when I ordered in the first half of October is around Nov 20. Ordered from the Play store.

I ordered a Pixel through the Google Fi store on October 10th and received it on the 24th. I'm very happy there's finally a high end device that comes in a smaller form factor. I'll still go down and say the Nexus 5 was my favorite device I ever owned to date, but the Pixel may surpass it.

Now Google pixel will rule the world! in just one year, its going to win the market, and may be iPhone too, will see a good competitor now :).
