Play videos from hard disk to TV

  1. Hi, i am planning on building a video library in an external hard drive. I am just wondering if there is anyway that i can play the video files from my hard drive directly to a TV or through the DVD player so that i won't have to turn my PC on anymore. Do i need to buy some kind of a cable or is there a hard disk made for this kind of use?

You need a DVD player or TV or a PVR that supports your external hard drive and the video format used. Or, you can get one of those external hard drives that have video outputs (and that supports your video format).
