Playstation 2 cable question

Hi all!

This will probably sound like a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway. I just bought a used PS2 and it came with all of the necessary cables, or so I thought. The video/audio cables are of the 5 plug variety (component?) and all I have available on my audio/video equipment is the 3 plug set up (rca?). Can I use 3 of the 5 plugs or do I need to go out and get a 3 plug cable for my PS2? If I can use the 5 plug cable which video plug do I use (red, blue or green)?

You need to describe all the colours exactly, but i think u may possibly have an rgb cable, If thats the case then it wont work.

I've got a reand white marked audio and then red, blue and green which I assume are for video. This is just on one end, the other end has the playstation plug.

It sounds like an rgb stup to me, i could be wrong tho, I'm an xbox man.
