please check hijack this

G'day.

I've been having problems with my computer for a few weeks now.
It started when I got a couple of nasties. namely ibm00008.exe
and virtumundo. In the meantime I've been reading postings on this site
trying to learn a bit.

I thought I had fixed the computer, but was having problems with
internet explorer. So I downloaded ie7. everytime I tried to install it
i got got a BSOD.

Then I decided it was time to get on here and I went through the instructions called Follow these instructions BEFORE posting your HJT log bySpike.

then I had the problem that the online scanners worked using internet explorer.
everytime I tried to do an online scan the download ended up with a bsod.

so now i have followed Howards instructions, except i couldn't get look2me destroyer to work. I checked techspot and found at least one other person having the same problem.

so anyhow here is my hijackthis log and avg antispy log.

Your HJT log is clean.

Have HJT fix the following inactive entries.

Run HJT with no other programmes open(except notepad). Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E276B7AC-66C9-49F3-B2B9-41D82862280F} - (no file)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winhoo32 - winhoo32.dll (file missing)<This was a nasty entry

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.

I have done as you said and my internet connection is instantly much faster.
I must admit I didn't expect a reply from you quite as quick on a sunday morning. I hope you didn't get up early to check the cricket score.

If you think it's bad, believe me it's twice as bad for me as an Englishman living in Australia.
