Possible Defective XFX 7900GT?

  1. Basically, worked fine for the first few days. But more recently, it's started acting up while playing games. Anywhere from 5-10 minutes into a game it'll give me a BSOD (error seems to be random. Kmixer, nv4_disp.dll etc). It's not the PSU, as it's a recent purchase and checks out fine. So far, these BSOD's only seem to appear during games. Browsing the internet, watching movies and listening to music don't seem to trigger anything.

Overheting maybe? But i think its a faulty driver, redownload, or use the ones from the CD.

Nah, I did a fresh install of the drivers, as well as switching to some older one's to see if they made a difference. No luck on that.

What are your CPU and video card's temperatures? Have you overclocked something?

Try taking the sides of the case off and seeing if that solves the problem, if it does solve the problem, it will be an overheating problem.
