Posting Error?

I recently encountered a problem where my computer would automatically shut down during boot up, so today i took all my components out and cleaned it and put them back in. Now i get the problem i had BEFORE the automatic shutdown. My computer wont post but everything on the computer is powered. Could this be my cpu ? or is it my motherboard ?
