Powe Supply (PSU) Question

I just bought Ati x850pro AGP video card and right now I have 250W PSU, so should I upgrade my psu or not. It says on the video card box that I need at least 350W PSU but the card is running fine without it. so If I upgrade my PSU, what difference will it make in my gaming performance or quality? It it makes big difference than I will defenately upgrade my PSU, so someone can please help me with this? thanks for help.

Systam:
AMD 64 3200 CPU, 2.3 Ghz
1 GB Ram
20.1" Dell wide monitor

Dennis, it will make zero difference performance wise. If you are using more than 250w of power though you will burn out your PSU from it operating out of spec.

I wouldnt recommend overclocking with the 250w PSU. Your vid card shoudl be fine but OC'ing uses alot fo juice.

seanp789 is right.
as an option you can add a psu like another 250w. It's a little
trick I'm running right now.
Dual and matched 300w psu's, each drawing under specs and cooler.
I'm OC'd from 2.8 to around 3.25 with add cpu voltage.

on your system if you were to tax the video with medium game for an hour or two, you'll find out you are very under powered.

Lots of options, but skimping on psu is big bottle neck.
