  1. I have this nagging problem with my daughters computer, it runs great but when she loads a cd the power shuts down ubruptly. I have looked at the power supply to try and find a loose connection to no avail. It seems as though the slightest nudge will cause this outage. Any suggestions? Its a P3 600mhz, AOpen MB, 128 memory, WinXP-SP2 recent 'clean install' very lean, probably 80% unused space, it's mainly a web surfing machine. Your help will be much appreciated, Cheers! :D

Can you try a different cd drive, just to rule out the drive itself?

Thanks, I'll swap out the rom drive first and let you know, I may as well start at the obvious point first. :)
