power supply inefficient?

  1. i have 2 cd/dvd drives, 1 hard drive, gaphics card, floppy disk, + want to get a second graphics card to run in sli. i might also get a second hard drive + ram, but do i need a better power supply? my specs are: amd athlon 64 3000+ 2ghz cpu, 256 mb ddr pc3200 ram, 17gb hdd, nec + toshiba cd/dvd drives, 6600le 256mb ddr agp8x graphics.

    what is rating of your current PSU?

    You can't run SLi with a AGP card.

    my psu is fire power, max power:400w. if that is what you mean

    I have never heard of "fire power" PSUs. I can't find them on any bad lists, but it sure sounds generic to me. it probably puts out more around 250w-300w max under normal conditions.

    It would be wise to replace it with a reputible branded PSU. here's a good PSU buying guide
