Power supply not shutting off on Standby

I'm using Window XP service pack 2, currently i hit this problem when the computer entered standby mode, the power supply and the fan are still on. I was thinking it might be the power supply problem.
Could anyone helps me pls.

erm how do you think your PC is able to stay in 'standby mode'??

for your power supply to be off would mean your PC had entered a state commonly know as 'OFF'

its not a problem with the power supply, its a problem with the user

Varies with the computer brand and model... but you need that power supply on in some fashion... and different designs handle it in different ways.
It would be helpful to know your computer brand, model, and configuration.
