  1. Ok well i REALLY need to upgrade my computer...

i bought a cheat coolmax, didnt work, figured it was DOA
got a better quality one, didnt work, thought it wasnt compatable

NOW i have a Corsair, its compatable, and it doesnt work?

I have no idea why, my current coolmax 460w works fine.. its a 600w btw

I try'd the "paperclip"test and the psu powers up, but the cpu fan lays still...

ive been trying to get this working for at least 2 hours and have almost given up hope and have no idea what the problem could be..

ive tried disconeccting everything, useing essesntials, and everything...

Normally, the power supply would be my first recommendation, but you already seemed to rule that out. It may be a hardware problem. Are there any 'beep sequences' when you try starting you notice?
The beeps you hear when booting up may actually have a solution...
