If you're the sort of person that likes to have just one graphics card in your system but want the power of two, PowerColor's new Devil 13 Dual Core R9 390 might be the perfect product for your gaming rig.
As you might have guessed, the Devil 13 Dual Core R9 390 is a single graphics card featuring two Hawaii-based R9 390 GPU cores. Each of these GPUs comes with 2560 stream processors and clock speeds up to 1,000 MHz, with standard CrossFire technology allowing the GPUs to communicate.
Each of the GPUs features a 512-bit GDDR5 memory bus at 1,350 MHz connected to 8 GB of VRAM, meaning the card has 16 GB of GDDR5 on-board. However, like with all CrossFire setups, games will only be able to use up to 8 GB of VRAM as memory needs to be duplicated for each GPU.
The Devil 13 Dual Core R9 390 itself is a triple-slot graphics card featuring a tri-fan cooler with 10 heat pipes and a massive amount of aluminium. The card is powered by a 15-phase power delivery system, which requires four PCIe 8-pin power connectors.
PowerColor hasn't said when their dual-GPU R9 390 will hit the market, or for how much, but considering it's a fairly niche product it will probably cost a pretty penny.
