premiere problems

my copy of adobe premiere pro has completely refused to work since this computer was last wiped. all it says when i try to open it is "this version of adobe premiere has expired".

i need to either get premiere working, or find another program that will be just as good at putting audio files (sound effects) with video, alligning them with footage, and adjusting the volumes in stereo.

help would be appreciated

i've been trying to learn how to do sound work for star wars fanfilms, but i can't do it without premiere or something like it.
