What are we to think when here in our state it is against the law to film police? We can't protect ourselves from any damages they may ensue because of one stupid law. A law that is designed to protect only them, regardless of any wrong doing.
Don't break the law. Since criminals do not fear jail time and it is en vogue to film cops being rough with a person resisting arrest and turning into police brutality, what are you going to do to make criminals think twice about committing a crime? Part of our problem is just that. People no longer are afraid of committing crimes. Our leaders are not afraid, our people are not afraid, illegals are not afraid, nor are extremists; so knowing no one cares about the consequences anymore, how are you going to keep your cops safe? This is just my observation. I am not a minority and I am white, but I am by no means privileged. I have worked hard for everything I have and follow the law... mostly (I like to drive fast). I used to be profiled by cops in my youth because I was a punk rock kid and if you look the part you get treated as the part. Police cruisers have cameras, cops are being made to wear body cameras. If someone filmed something on their phone for evidence, who can prove (other than a file modified date) that it wasn't edited?
This is my last reply on police matters. I'd much rather talk Tech!
