If i have a foreign font installed such as 'matweb' to view websites, online newspapers etc. How do I then print those sites off? When clicking print preview, it seems fine but when it's actually printed out, it gives a load of random text.

The printer has been updated to latest driver and is a HP 6620 Deskjet.

The font is correctly installed in control panel > fonts

any ideas?

Define random text. Do you mean that it prints incomprehensible crap, or it prints only parts of it, here and there?

I think it may be parts here and there as it certainly doesn't look like the normal ASCII characters

Do you print directly from the website or you download a PDF or DOC? If it is the website the site might be designed wider than you can fit on the paper, in which case you need to play with margins or copy the text into Word and print it from there. Can you scan the printed page so we can see what it looks like?

hum; are you SURE it's installed correctly AND that it is a TTF, not a FON?

FONs are only screen fonts for the system. A TTF is used for both.

I would delete the font and find another source for XXX.TTF
